Rattle
Remove serpentine belt by taking 1/2 drive ratchet or 3/8 drive depending on which one you have. (Look down from the top about the middle ways of the engine and you will see it). Placing it into the notch of the pully tensioner (A little square-looking hole on the side facing you with a pully on the backside) made for this and pulling tensioner to the left to let the belt get loose and remove the belt. (Take a picture of the belt to see how the belt goes on and is routed if the old diagram is no longer on the front of the truck).
Now with the belt off before you crank the engine, take each pully on the front of the truck and spin them by hand to see if you hear a rattle or whine. Make sure to spin all the pulleys that the belt goes around even the water pump (the fan is attached to), AC pully, and power steering. If all of these are good, go under the truck and look at the heat shields around the exhaust pipes and see if they are against anything and do not have broken bolts or anything like that.
Not that hard to check and see.
In God, I trust all others pay cash. You can send the high dollars to check to BAR549 and remember all sales are final here.
