Auto Climate Control Issues?

New to the community here! I just recently traded in my 18 Denali for a 17 F150 King Ranch and loving the swap so far!

I do have a question about auto climate control, though.

No matter what degree I set the temp on, usually 70, it fluctuates to either a significantly colder temp or a significantly hotter temp blowing out of the vents. It’s like it's constantly trying to overcorrect itself when it gets to the desired temperature.

I usually turn the auto climate off because it is frustrating it can’t maintain the cabin's temperature like my Denali did. Granted, this is the only thing my Denali did better. 😂

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it just normal?

Make sure that nothing is blocking the sun load sensor. That's the little black plastic dome in the top center of your dash. It also controls the auto headlights. There is also an In Vehicle Temperature and Humidity Sensor that has an integrated fan to pull air across it. Its located behind the little grille on the dash below and to the right of the steering wheel. If the fan fails it will be slow to respond to changes in cabin air temp.
