Electrical Question
Hey guys. I have a 2016 F-250. I hooked my RV up to it, plugging it into the 7 Blade power and the running lights do not work. Neither do my tail lights. The brake lights and turn signals do work. My buddy came over and plugged into his truck and all the lights worked. I seem to have power to the 7 Blade port. I can't figure out why when plugged into my truck they aren't working. I looked at fuses, put a new 7 blade on it and still nothing. Any help would be much appreciated.

Did you check the truck female plug? I noticed a few times that the female connectors were "sprung" apart and would not make good connection. I could take a small screwdriver and push them together and it would make contact.
Also, did you take a test light and test your truck female 7 pin connector to make sure your lights worked?

That happened on my truck and it was a fuse on the truck side. But I do agree with checking the connectors, they can spread and no longer make contact but they will usually make contact if you wiggle the plug. My bet is a fuse though.

If you've got power at the plug but no lights, and your buddy's truck lights up the running lights, I'd look at a ground problem. You can connect a wire to a good ground location on your truck and then connect the other end to a good ground on the trailer. This is just a way of testing that makes sure your truck's ground is getting to the trailer. If it makes your running lights work, then you have to figure out where you are losing the truck ground going to the plug.

Update: I found the problem. It was fuse relay #29. All is good. Thank you guys for your input.
