Question Deep Drop Bumper receiver hitch

My 1993 F-250 has an aftermarket deep drop bumper. I have found some receiver hitches that state that they will fit this style of bumper but I just wanted to check here first to make sure I don't waste my money.

Here's what the bumper is like

Here is a link to one of the hitch that supposedly will fit it: https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hit...cleID=19931017

Why not just clarify w/ the mfg or vendor? I'd feel pretty confident if they both said yes and also pretty confident that they'd take it back if it didn't.

I would not use the one in the link.
I have the same truck with the same bumper. Here is the one I put on.

i came searching for a deep step bumper hitch, just like the ones shown here, but i do have one other request.

I only seem to find hitches that are the "Bolt together" style, like the one pictured above, where the sides bolt to the center part of the hitch. Does anyone offer a hitch for the deep drop bumper that is not a bolt together style?

I thought the drop bumbers were meant to pull a trailer. The Luverne i had on my pickup was rated for a 10k pound trailer. Why do you need a receiver at all with those bumpers?

Mostly, at least for me, because i have a total of 7 different trailers, with varying ball hitch sizes and some requiring different drops to sit properly. If i only had one trailer that would hook onto a single truck, then yes, the bumper itself would be a good choice.

Curt hitches are the only "Made In America" hitch and it's welded in the Class IV and V weights. You might have to call and ask if there was a proper receiver that would clear your bumper. That aftermarket bumper seems to have a ton of drop in the middle.

Nothing wrong with wanting it fixed regardless of the age or condition of the truck. Responsible drivers own their mistakes. I backed into a young guys Dodge, dented the corner of his rear bumper, no paint or body damage. i simply asked him if he wanted it fixed because yes, there are people who would not care. He said he wanted to fix it and he would fit the new bumper if I bought it. DEAL! I ordered and had a new bumper shipped to his house. Funny thing is I saw the same truck in the same lot months later with the dented bumper still on the truck... Doesn't bother me a bit though, he was well within his rights to ask me to fix my mistake.

That spot on the bumper is covered if you have a front plate. If the bumper turns out to be hard to get like so many parts these days you could cover it up with the factory plate bracket and a vanity plate of your choosing.

A new bumper is around $800.00. Dents can be pulled out of sheet metal but not steel plate like a bumper. If you're friends with the kid and his family and want to spend time with the kid to give him some education, the bumper is pretty much bolt on. You could buy a new bumper and have the kid pay part or all of it and have him (and maybe his dad also) help you change bumpers. Should be some videos on YouTube. Depends how much a new bumper means to you, how you know the family, and if you have some mechanical ability.
