RECEIVER HITCH QUESTION


will a receiver hitch fit under my bumper without modification?

I doubt it will.that bumper hangs pretty low

they make a hitch for that bumper, around here they call them cowboy bumpers, my '90 has a slick full chrome bumper like that and I put a hitch on it. I am now taking the hitch and bumper off the '90 and putting it on my fathers '97.

Sorry. Just never made any sence. The rating isn't enough and the height isn't variable. I have so many different variations and bumper heights. Just not versatile enough IMO.
And I'm partial to my stocker lol

I am too now, this stock bumper on my mare and my receiver hitch is a better combo any day.

Yea,joshs truck came with one.he is not a fan. Hopefully someday we change it all out and make towing better for him.

Mine has a drop bumper with a recover under it. Measure from bottom of frame to bottom of the bumper.

Your's really is Not a drop bumper. It is the same 10" as a stock one.
but it does appear you have a drop hitch

That is very possible. This truck came with a bumper that dropped lower than this one.
