Recall 20E07
Recall 20E07
I went to my ford dealer to get new rims for my dually due to the corrosion problem , while I was there she said there is a program recall for a powertrain fault, well Saturday my truck went into this powertrain fault, my truck goes in next Thursday to be fix, The fault is when you start you truck your whole dash stays black, truck starts , but nothing else and then you have loss of power if it does get going

They haven't got my truck yet, I just went to dealer to make a appointment for the rim replacement and the service manager said there is a new recall that they will do when rims come in, they need to reprogram the powertrain module she said, this is the new recall

Oh no, I drive a 19 diesel. Did it have any specifics? I haven't recieved any new recalls as of now on my Fordpass. Also have not ever experienced the issue the OP described.
Recalls aren't always by simply model and/or model year. In some cases, they may be VIN specific.
For example, I knew of a recall that affected only 22 vehicles. Apparently, an important bolt wasn't installed, but it wasn't discovered until some time after the vehicles had arrived at the dealership and some of them sold. How they figured that out, I don't know.

What is the recall for? Fordpass just says Recall Desccription is "Powertrain Control Module Programming". I'd like to know exactly what the issue is. I'm loathe to take my truck to a dealer for any reason other than to buy OEM parts.
Edit - NVM - saw in the OP post what was happening.
