Hey guys, so I had and exhaust leak because some bolts were missing. I replaced the bolts and gasket and now its smoking a lot near the section were the manifold meets the exhaust pipe (it’s the quarter size manifold). Does this mean it’s not torqued down all the way? Also does anyone have an pictures of what the fuel lines should look like at the back of the truck where the metal gas line meets the tube line which goes to the sending unit? I think I set it up right but I’m not sure. Feel free to ask me questions about these problems, I might have explained them wrong 😅
X2 on the valve covers leaking, thats the sure sign of an FE motor... poke your head up under the wheel wells and shine some light on the rear of the head where the covers sit and look for oil creeping down the head and block onto your exhaust. If so wipe good run the truck and confirm. Then you get to pull the valve covers and practice witch craft trying to get them to seal, just did this today on my passenger side....
