Fuse 16 should be Trailer battery charge on your model year, not related to your issue.
Which fuse did you pull to kill the engine?
My mistake, fuse 16 in cabin says instruments but apparently only gets power when high beam on.. i pulled a large fuse in engine bay for the idm to kill engine. Cannot remember the number (26 or 27 ) as have done it so many times now.. have been chasing this issue for a long time... simply hoping for new ideas
Not turning off means something is staying hot/12v that should not be. In the pin outs for switch, you’ll find wires that are only supposed to be hot with ignition switch turned to ON/RUN. We use one of these for ‘after run’ for turbo timer and ‘purge cycle’ for vegetable oil conversions.
Have you removed cluster to see if it’s plugged in good?
Check your grounds. Weird fuses getting pulled to stop an engine sounds like power is getting backfed through circuits.
am pulling big fuse 27 for.idm in engine bay to kill engine. Otherwise 30 in cabin kills it too. all fuses are good and never blowm ever. This.all.just started happening all of a sudden...
