77F150 rear window question

I need to replace or fix a piece of my passenger rear pillar of the cab. I have found someone willing to cut a piece out for me but his 77(yellow) seems to be less contoured than mine.
I would have thought all cabs would be the same? Slider vs Solid window? Early 77 vs late 77? I know mine is a F150, maybe his is a F100?

To my knowledge they should be the same. I’ve never heard of them being different. I wonder if there was something on the box that got shoved into the cab?

My 77 is a Shortbox F150 4wd. It had a flat piece of glass in it. I replaced it with a tinted sliding rear window from LMC I believe it was. Went right in with a new seal of course.

the window made no difference that I'm sure of. and I'm 99% sure there was no difference from 73-79. I can say this, I have five pickups from '74-79 and they all look like the yellow one not yours. so either there were variations in the stamping or maybe you're going to find a lot of bondo when you get into your repair.

Get a contour gage and make sure your eyes aren't playing tricks on you.

I see what your showing in your pictures and I agree that yours looks to be inset a little, but maybe it is the glare/shine differences.

X2 on this. My 77 looks like the brown truck.

The rear window is same size from 73-96 (97 in F-250+).

77 cab repair

Wow, I have never seen a detail on a mid 70's cab like the tan cab. Seems like a 72 or earlier shape.
Curious about that. You will have to look for another donor. Good luck.

mine (1973) does also look like the brown one.

The yellow one seems to be completely straight on the picture and it looks like there is hardly any space between the cab and the bed.

Maybe it was produced without a bed (is there something like a special flatbed cab???)

This is what a contour gauge shows on ours. It has a little curve to it that you can feel but not necessarily see.

Again it could be the glare/camera angle.

I'll try to take a picture of the gauge on the truck tomorrow when it's not dark and raining.

That amount of curvature looks normal. maybe his picture makes it look worse than it is.

Thanks for all the responses. Thats the interesting part of these older model trucks for me, finding out something interesting all the time. I think i will keep an eye out for a different donor truck as the owner of the yellow truck says it is pretty flat. I actually prefer the contour, gives it a nice shape, but it is definitely factory to that cab
