I just saw that the new 2022 super duty is going to have the same 12 inch sync screen that the F150's have now. Anyone seen a conversion kit to upgrade to the 12 inch screen for the 2020-2021 models?
I know the 2021 F150 has them and there supposed to be the same interior so I figured they might be working on something.
As you can see in the picture you posted they did not go with the same interior as the F150. The screen itself might be, not really sure. The info was just released not more than a week ago and production hasn't started on the 2022 Super Duty yet.
You're not the only one thinking about a dash/screen/center stack swap, but I wouldn't expect any progress on something like that till several months from now. Maybe not for several months after these trucks hit the street. Personally, I think if it actually is possible doen the road, the cost will make it not feasible for most.
.....I was thinking you meant an OEM swap, but now I'm thinking you mean some aftermarket kit that uses the F150 screen.
I don’t think I’d pay a dime for the larger screen. I actually like the Super duty interior better than the F150 interior. For 2022 the Super Duty just gets its centre stack with the 12” screen changed, the rest of the interior is left as is.
I agree with the post above that doing an OEM swap would be a tall, and likely cost prohibitive task. It looks like the entire upper dash and front bezel would need to be swapped. But, perhaps someone will make an updated front bezel that will fit the ‘17-‘21 with the ‘22 OEM screen?? I’m sure even that would not be just a simple swap though, given how interconnected the electronics/infotainment systems are in these trucks.

Since the new screen system will be running Sync 4, I agree, it will be a major undertaking to swap out all that and connect all the bells and whistles back into all the other modules. I would like to see it done though!
I still don't understand all the excitement about a bigger screen. What does it do better than the current screen besides being bigger? Other than wireless Android auto/carplay, which I'm sure is a big deal for those that use it.
