brought a 2019 f-450 into the shop for a battery light and "service charging system message" Monday 15 March 8:00am.
got a call a few hours later saying:
battery ight is diagnosed and being repaired (open circuit)
you also need tailgate recall, headlight recall, your steering damper needs replacement (SB or recall), and you have an upper oil pan leak (another known 6.7 issue.). all warranty items.
to my surprise , got a call 4:00pm Wednesday 17 March and all work is reported done.
Tip of the hat to Koch33Ford in Easton PA.
My local dealership would have taken weeks to do this and it would take months to get an appt.
Thats great considering the upper oil pan leak is a big job. Like the post above, I too would do a little inspection myself. The headlight recall and steering stabilizer are pretty fool proof, but the tailgate recall can be hacked up and the upper oil pan leak, well, it can leak if not done right.
You already had the carpet shielding recall done, or do you have the carpet delete?
