Morryde X Factor...
The installation instructions are identical, even though the kits are clearly different. The bars are the same, but the Correct Track version has much more hardware. I went to the Morryde website as well, but their web designer was high or a toddler when they built that site, so I resorted to searching Google images for the differences. I am unsure about where the plates circled in red in the image below go when installed. I am sure I can figure it out, but I prefer to learn from the experiences of others instead of learning the hard way myself.
In addition, if anyone has any thoughts on these things, by all means share them here. I think I can get all 3 spring hangers based on the plumbing under the trailer, but I am 100% sure I can get 2.
I read on an RV forum in a post from 2014 that Morryde (at the time) would build a non-adjustable kit for a customer if the axle code and measurements were provided. I may go this route too if I am confident there is value in the kit.
Thanks for any advice or thoughts you have, I do appreciate it.
EDIT: Upon further inspection and going out to have a second look, the front and rear hangers have the Correct Track pucks where the middle hanger does not. So, the middle hanger with the equalizer would need the Morryde MR49ZR instead of the other kit. I also verified that I am 99% sure the front hanger would NOT be able to have a crossmember installed due to the gray tank drain. I will attempt to fit a crossmember in there once I purchase a kit for the middle hanger to verify this fitment issue.
Again, any thoughts or opinions are welcome.
If anyone has Morryde X Factor and has a thought on their installation or feasibility I would still welcome the post. Just because I am no longer considering these as a viable option, does not mean someone else in the future would not find this thread useful.
Have a nice camping season everyone!
My opinion: I would do this at all hanger pairs on a given trailer. The reason I say this is: The pair that is not done will be the weaker pair, and will be enjoying the extra stress that can be sent that way by the stronger pair(s).
We towed the 5th wheel to a campground 30 minutes away and then back home yesterday. I forgot to look at the trailer wheels in the mirror on the way out, but did remember on the way home and backing into the driveway.
I am pleased to report the spring hangers (wheels at least) were very well planted and the X-Factor seemed to do a good job. Of course there was still some scrubbing on one set of tires on the dual axle 5th wheel, but the wheels themselves were not tilting in or out like they were prior to the cross member install.
When parking the 5th wheel at the house, I back it into the driveway at a 45° angle, then straight for 50 yards or so then a 30° angle the opposite direction off the driveway, over the grass and into the gravel parking space. Again, the wheels seemed firmly planted and supported during the entire backing in session. I was keeping a good watch on them this go around.
It seems this was a worthwhile investment, costly, but it appears to be providing verifiable benefits already.
BTW, I can't remember what kind of nuts came with this kit. I installed greaseable bolts and heavier shackles at the same time which included what I believe are called "stover nuts" so I used those to prevent loosening. A couple of the factory installed nuts were working their way loose...yikes... Some form of lock washer might perform as well.
This kit does not affect access to grease points with the dexter ez flex equalizer that I installed at the same time. The kit does not affect access to any of the other greaseable suspension bolts either.
The X-Factor bars are very stout, but are 3 sided with the bottom open, not completely boxed. So, if you did have the zerk fittings facing inboard then you would still have access.

Morryde got me sorted out and everything installed quite well.
Thank you for providing your thoughts on the cross members, especially since you have had them for long. At this time, I feel they were a good choice.
