So I got a 1993 Ford F-150 manual 5 speed so when I shift gears or press on my brakes my transfer randomly goes into neutral in 2 wheel drive and it keeps goin back into neutral even tho it’s in 2 wheel so I gotta stop and kee puttin it into 2 wheel till I finally hear it click into gear no noise or anything comin from transfer case
You've got a BW1356 and your range fork is worn. Very, very common and causes your exact symptoms.
You need a rebuild. At this point the shift fork pads are definitely gone and it's probably eaten into the fork itself. Plan on a new fork.
I'd absolutely do the 4x4 fork at the same time, although it may only need new pads.
You've got two shift forks total: the range fork slides a gear within the planetary assy for hi, lo, or N. The 4x4 fork slides a gear to determine if the front output is powered (via the chain) or not.
It's pretty damn simple and a lot of fun once you get into it. Get the 'case on the bench, don't attempt in-vehicle
