Hi everyone! I have a pigtail wiring harness that is pretty shredded up. On top of that...I'm still working on figuring out where it goes but I'm thinking it's for water temp, oil pressure and tach. Anyway...does anyone know where I can get a replacement or what this harness is actually called so I can at least search for it? Sorry....still learning as I go. Close up og pigtail The part i need What it plugs into
Here's a page listing Ford part numbers for the different harnesses. I did a partial number google search and a few hits showed up but it's difficult to know what you are getting.
Again he needs the Male connector NOT the female ones as you posted. And as already stated they are not available the only way to get one is to rob one from Dura spark Module

I have 4-5 old DSII modules laying around (and one brand new one that I didn't use) and I was wondering what I was going to do with the stupid things, and I hadn't even thought of using the plugs/connectors, ha! Thanks Matthew. I don't need them at the moment, but I might someday.
If that new part has the male connector, there must be some place the has them in stock...
ArizonaF250 what engine do you have in the 86 F250 ?
If you have actually been reading the post you would realize this is NOT for the ignition module. Those plugs are used in other places than just the ignition module...
And no male pig tales are not retail available as has already been stated multiple times. I'm not speaking English here or what.
The ONLY way you can get them is to commission a run from wells for multiple hundreds and that is if they would even sell them to you.
Ford did the same thing they NEVER pigtailed the male connectors you either bought the whole harness or the module.

Ya do not pitch the old modules at the very least cut the connectors with as much pig tale as possible and save them..

Oh yeah, English is fine. I just find it hard to believe that someone somewhere doesn't make that connector.
I did get a water temp pig tail from NAPA a few years ago. You did get me to go out and take a look at my truck and I found this, located on the left inner fender. 86' 302 EFI, looks like I have another project for warmer weather. I also found a couple wires on top of the engine with exposed wires.
Ford and the aftermarket never sold these connectors for monetary reasons. The connector is most frequently used on the ignition module. If the connector fails you are forced to buy the whole module if it is not available and mark up modules was huge back in the day. The same applies for the harness you are forced to buy the whole harness. And now the people that make the modules are the same one ones that made the connectors. So no incentive for them to offer the connector separate as they also want you to buy the module.
These oddball connectors if not looking to be 100% as it left the factory correct I replace them with a square weather pack connector. Such as below.
