No start issue

So I finished my rebuild couple weeks ago,,, after long cranks a sputter it finally started and ran great.

After that I put in under my house shop where I have heat. After a week sitting, was a pita to start. After it started I ran it for about 1 hour. Ran great no smoke, smooth ect. Next day I went on vacation. Got back last night and today went to start it and will not start. No smoke coming out of tail pipe.

What should I start to look for?

If you have not taken it for a good drive it will still have air in it causing hard starts.

I am getting 45 psi at the fuel test point.

On 200 psi when I put a gauge on the icp port.

I have been looking at everything and still cranks no smoke or sputter no start.

I borrowed another gauge to be sure mine was ok. Still 150 psi oil pressure or so when cranking.

I had another good ipr I put in thinking it was the issue but no luck.

In the process now of removing the hpop, put in a rebuilt one about 2 years ago.

Is there a way to bench test a hpop?

It take's 500 psi to start. I don't know of a way to test a hpop. The PCM has to see the 500 psi before it will command the IDM to fire.

I am only getting 150 +/-, I think I have a bad hpop according to this chart.

Bought a rebuilt 2 years ago.

What is the best hpop out there?

I also have an Adrenaline on my truck. The company Glen is thinking of is CNC fab. I have heard good things about their pumps also.

So I did some more trouble shooting this morning.

I reinstalled the hpop to do more testing.

I removed the crossover line.

I gauged each head. 150+/- psi.

I then removed the connection on the 2 hpop lines at the heads. I plugged one and gauged the other to test. Then swapped the gauge to the other side and tested. Both where at 150+/- psi. So this somewhat confirms a bad hpop.

Does the IPR need to be functioning properly to do this test or does it not matter?

Crap wire to IPR will keep it from starting too. Efuel or that mechanical nonsense?

I have an Adrenaline. Works fine for me. Seems CNC Fab makes a solid unit too.

Is the truck cranking fast enoigh?

I tested the wires going to the IPR,, they checked out ok.

Yes next winter EFuel.

Yes cranking is fast.

I am totally beside myself,,, very fustrated.

So does the IPR need to work for the hpop to produce pressure for testing purposes or it does not matter?

I'm unsure of the IPR also but it stands to reason that if its stuck (partially open a little) it will not allow the oil to get to the heads. It might be your problem.
