Navigator Low Beams Issue
- lights/bulbs/etc. work just fine when plugged in to my 2002 Navigator
- No power on the Low-Beam pin at the light fixture on either side.
- No power at the fuse panel on interior fuse 26 or 28.
- Replaced the MFS on the steering column and no change.
- There are no low-beam relays on this model.
- Somebody here has the same issue, but nobody mentions the solution...
- Fuses are not blown, and replaced them anyway.
- Lincoln forums are pretty much useless, and instead of trying to help they just say "don't do that..."
Not really sure where to go from here now. I hear tell of a mythical DRL relay box hidden on the passenger side somewhere, and similar model year Expeditions seem to have a DRL diode under the dash on the drivers side that I could check out. Replacing the entire headlight switch is pretty expensive since they are so old now, but I might try that next since I cannot find any instructions on how to test them.
Shot in the dark. Maybe someone here knows something, but this is a crappy mystery and I may just have to get raked over the coals at a shop to have it diagnosed soon because I am running out of things to check and try.
Thanks!
