So i bought a 95 f350 7.3 the guy that sold me the truck told me it needed new injectors and new turbo pedestal seals. and i put new injectors in it my self. Once they were in the truck turned on stay on for about 20 mins or so and then i shut it off it wouldnt start again so i left it for the next day. The next day the truck wouldn't turn on and was giving me an error code of p1212. So i got advice from so ford techs and the guy that sold me then truck. The guys ar ford kept telling me its a high pressure oil leak. The guy that sold me the truck told me told me it was the icp to unplug the icp so i i did and the truck fired up for about 7 to 15 mins idling and died. So he told me get an new icp so i had to wait till friday to get a new icp. So i got the new icp today and still the same thing rough starts and when the truck does start iit just shuts off 7 to 20 mins every single time. And now its throwing p1212 and p1280. And p304 codes. I put in new icp and new connector and idk what to do anymore. I started it rode it down the street and shut off havent tried since i got it back to the house and idk what to do anymore. Can anyone give me advice. Should i do the turbo pedestal leak also and try again? Where should i go from here? Is this a job for a mechanic? Please helo
The pedestal seals/orings aren't hard, just a pain to get to.
If the truck starts and runs then you eliminated quite a few suspects. I would def check the cps sensor. That's how the truck sees the rpms and adjusts for fuel.
Are these stock injectors you put in? Have you checked the fuel system to make sure it isn't starving the engine outdated awhile?
