I bought a new socket to fix one of my rear lights from Carpenter. Not 100% original but certainly not redneck. I would think the fronts are the same but here is the part I used. https://www.dennis-carpenter.com/tru...t-socket--wire
. . .or do I need to redneck up some new bulb sockets in my old bucket
Umm, I believe the correct term is “ southern-engineer”. But, you should be able to find what you need, either reproduction, or used, maybe NOS, if you can be patient. Good luck.
Here's a good one I'm gonna cut a led strip and stick it down inside the bucket and ill have led lights ,thanks for the socket # I'll probably get those I was going to get socket out of some trailer lights
My bad; sorry for the misinformation. I looked in my spare parts stash and you are correct - double contact up front too. I Probably should let investigation proceed opening mouth.

Beautiful. That is taking the art to its highest form. Bravo.
I really don't know why its double all I have is signal or my park lights doesn't work seems you should have parking lights they work in back
Front parking lights and rear tail lights are on different circuits from the light switch. Tail lights are on in both on positions of the switch. The front parking lights are only on in the Parking lights position and turn off when the headlights are on.

I seem to remember reading that there is an extra terminal on the headlight switch that you can move the front parking light circuit wire to, and have front lights along with the headlights. Can anyone confirm?
The wires on the light switch plug in with one big connector. Should be easy enough to modify the harness if you want the parking lights on with the headlights but you would likely need to cut a wire to do it. There is an extra wire and connector in the harness near the light switch that is connected to the tail light circuit, I'm plugging my roof clearance lights in to it. This is all based on 1966, I haven't looked at other years.
I know they should only be on in the park position but I have none so I have a bad connection somewhere ill have to trace it down haven't really looked at it much
