Quarter? More like a buck. But, yes, I did that in two or three stages. Started with old fashioned Easy Off oven cleaner and a wash. ground out more carbon. Washed again. Ported, and washed again. The wash guy gave me a smile, and other customers wondered why I waited just to pull my car all the way through the stall.
Well, finally got the old girl back on the road today. She needs a little tuning...running rich at idle. But off idle she's smooth, and with the new exhaust, she's got a little growl!
