Going to be a little difficult since the EPA rode into town, slapped everyone and everything attached to it.
You'll still have the small mom and pop shops that advertise under the radar for this stuff.... By word of mouth. A friend of a friend type deal. But all the big guys that did the delete tunes are going emissions on as it's the future. If they want to stay in business and keep making money in the future, advertise without fear of the EPA breathing down their necks with threats of lawsuits and big fines, it's the only way to go into tomorrow. That's just fact. Their focus goes into 2023. We will see what happens.
Well, if the profile is correct, Claremont, CA. I highly doubt, but dont know for sure that you can just "pay a fine", and continue on your way in the great state of California, assuming thats what was meant.

Ok. I'm on my phone and couldn't see that. Can't see a state who smog tests just making the owner just pay a fine and let them be on their way. But WTF do I know... I'm in the California of the East... But no smog testing here in WNY.

EPA is wanting to kill anything that plugs into an OBD2 Port and that would even kill scan tools. Like I mentioned, EPA is going all out. Underground tuners might live another day but the hardware will dry up. Bright side, Fart Cans for the Honda crowd will disappear........

I thought that in NY you guys had emissions testing. I remember reading in a post that they even use sniffers near the big apple.

He said pay a fee. When you get a smog they charge used to be $35 and $6 for the certificate. The cert is still $6 but the test is about $70 Not Tax Deductible ether. If you pass smog than pay the fee and off you go. If you fail any part of the visual because they look for the smog equipment to be in place. If it's not there you fail. You don't pay a fine but you still pay the $70 and you don't get to registure your car.
Here is the kicker. If you don't register the car and you get caught for driving a car that isn't registered and the reason is it didn't pass smog they will impound your car. They will know because it will be in the computer and believe me they look for things just like that.

Nope. Only in NYC/Long Island region. Our population density here in WNY is not dense enough. They only do the safety equipment checks here but the vehicles do get plugged in to check for CELs.
Emissions testing down by the Big Apple though....

If they want a true impact, they would be focusing on the transportation industry, specifically trans continental ships... but it's pretty hard to make it a worldwide thing .
What we do, in regards to light and medium duty vehicles in the US, may have a small impact on the individual cities, but little to no impact for the planet.
Just $0.02 from an uneducated, brain frozen northerner...
As long as they add up how much crap is put into the air by the manufacturing of electric vehicles. There is no net ZERO from electric cars and trucks. What about tires and grease for the bearings. How ab out all the dylithium crystals. They dont just appear on the sheld. They are not produced in a lab. They are not synthetic. What about electricity. Most people charge them at night after the sun goes down. Maybe its a calm night so the wind isnt blowing windmills. To top it all off there 300,000,000 charging all at once. This just isn't going to happen.

For all that we do here, to Europe, Canada... I'm sure there's others but then you have China, Russia, India and Mexico being the big ones who pollute the **** out of the air... And don't forget Cuba with all their old American gas guzzlers there.
Besides, you have to believe in this crazy religion of climate change first. What ever happened to all of Al Gore's dire predictions??

I saw a story on windmill blades just the other day as well. NO ONE is talking about this NO ONE. How is this green? We keep building this crap and bury the remains? These things DON'T disintegrate over time. They just remain in that hole. What about solar panels? They don't recycle them ether. None of this battery stuff, solar panels or windmills are good for the earth which they clam to want to save.
I would rather have a nuclear power plant in my back yard than look out over the hillside and see windmills like I do now.
