Cams for Vulcan

Cams for Vulcan
I'm sure this has been discussed before, but does anyone know of an aftermarket cam for the vulcan? I have found roller rockers and such, but can't find a high perf cam. Also, is it possible at all to swap out the heads on a duratec with the vulcan? I'm not even sure if they use the same block. I'm sure that new heads would mean a whole new lower and upper intake, too.

I've seen a few companies that offer aftermarket performance cams for the Ranger Vulcan ...I don't see why they couldn't also do something with a Taurus Vulcan. Here's one:
Camcraft Cams
Also, Duratec heads will not fit on a Vulcan ...the Duratec is a double overhead cam design (DOHC) as opposed to the OHV Vulcan ... they are two very different engines.

Regarding the proposed head swap, the issue actually has been kicked around a little bit more at the Taurus Car Club of America. You might try poking around over there, maybe do a few searches, you may find some more specific information on the subject.

The Duratec, on the other hand, is a Double Overhead Cam design (DOHC).
