I can't recall right now... i'll check the owner's manual and answer later, but anyway check the fuses to see if you spot a burned/broke one, oh! and welcome!.
Is the window up or down? Has anything hit the tailgate or have you opened it? The most common problem with the back window is the safety switch in the driver-side latch. Try pushing or leaning into the tailgate while someone pushes the switch (or use the key switch if yours works). Also the system runs off of CB #12 & 14. #12 powers the keyed switch in the tailgate and #14 powers the dash switch.
I have only one switch on the dash for the tailgate window. The rear switches were bypassed quite a few years ago.
There is only 1 switch in the system.
There is no 12v power to the switch.
Due to this I know it is not a switch issue.
I checked the plastic fuses under the dash and none are blown. I cant tell about 2 metal cased fuses though. I am wondering if its possible a relay under the hood could be the culprit also? (similar to the fuel pump relay?)
I have no manual or anything to tell me what fuses and/or relays might be in the loop so that is the info I was hoping to get here.
So, does anyone know what fuses and/or relays can cut off power to the back window?
I appreciate any info or link to a diagram or something.
the metal ones are self-reseting circuit breakers, yes they can go bad or other things can cause them to trip. if you think there is one bad put a fuse in its place and see if that fixes the problem or if the fuse pops. what switch's where by-passed and how do you know they where? I would bet that the latch switch was not by-passed (it would be really dumb to do so). so again CB14 would power the dash switch. 2 black wires - Ground, Lt-Blu/Blk - hot from CB14, Pnk/Lt-Grn - power to DOWN, Pnk/Lt-Blu - Power to UP. then in the tailgate the key switch will have 4 wires going into it 2 Blk/Wht - Power from CB12, Pnk/Lt-Grn - power DOWN from dash switch, and Pnk/Lt-Blu - Power UP from dash switch. then on the output side you have 2 wires a Yel/Red that goes strait to the motor and will act as the power for the DOWN cycle, and a Tan/Blk wire that will go to the latch switch. then from the latch switch to the motor as a Red/Yel wire and will act as the power for the UP cycle. Oh and go get yourself a Haynes Manual, It will save you a lot of headachs like this one.
