Shock suggestion with x codes
I currently have a 2" spring hanger/shackle lift so I know that by itself would put me at the 2-2.25" shocks, would the 4-6 inch shocks be too long or just right with the x's?
**the shocks I have now are completely worn out Bilstein 4600, I will be replacing them with 5100's.
Before anyone says "search", I did and could not find a clear enough answer.
Thanks
My truck is a 2002F250 ccsb 7.3

19 1/2" - X code shock eye to eye
20 1/4 - 2" hanger lift, worn out V code
Roughly the same, close enough for government work... Either way, X code OR hanger lift would be a 2-2.5" lift shock based on Bilstein's spec sheet. Add 2" for the X code WITH the hanger lift and I should be at roughly 22" eye to eye. That measurement put's me right inline with the 4-6" lift shock which will allow for roughly 7" of compression travel assuming I do not lower the bump stops.
Hopefully this info will help the next person who searches for this.
