Engineering Numbers???

Hey all, I’m usually in the older Ford truck forum. But I’ve got a newer truck question.
I’m beginning the BLIS addition on my truck & just purchased some outside mirrors. But they only have Engineering numbers on them. Is there a way to convert those numbers to Ford Part numbers so I can find out what I’ve got? The numbers on them are FL34-17683-NYSMAS & FL34-17682-NYSMAS
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OBTW If anyone has 2015-2017 BLIS Modules and brackets, I’m looking for some.

You will also need the BLIS specific LED tail lights to mount the pods in. This will get pricey quick, way more than the factory option cost. I’m not sure if the existing harness in your truck is set up for BLIS, but it will complicate it more if you din’t have it.

Ive got the lenses and am currently looking for the modules and brackets. I also need the door modules for the mirrors. There’s a pretty nice write up on the conversion on the F-150 site.

Since you have the tail lights, you should be able find the sensors on eBay or Amazon. These trucks have been out for several years now, so there should be plenty of used one s a available.

One would think so but apparently they are hot items. New the modules are close to $700@. And then the brackets are another $75. Sooo I’m scouring the inter web trying to find some used.

My truck (2016) was rear ended in 2018 and I went through hoops with their insurance company about using Ford factory parts for repair. Just so happens, there were absolutely no used parts on the market, so they were forced to use factory parts. Yes, they are very, very expensive. You must really want BLIS.

In answer to your question Yes, I’m getting older and like the Extra help in blind spots and cross traffic warnings. I thought I’d just get a new truck until I looked at their sticker prices. My 2016 is low mileage and has been well kept so I’ll just spend a few bucks and add what I want on it. I’m hoping to pick up the parts locally at decent prices. I’ll still probably have a $700 or so in local parts and another 500 to 700 in new Ford parts before it’s complete. I wanna do it with all OEM parts so it feels and acts like it’s all factory installed.

Funny you should mention you were rear ended. February was an exceptionally crappy month and someone/thing hit my drivers side rear at bumper level. I didn’t notice it until my detailer pointed it out after a good cleaning to rid my truck from road grime. Still gonna cost 2K and it’s not something everyone would notice. some of the bodyshops wouldn’t deal with it because the bed is aluminum.

Wow, for that price I'd just turn my head and look for traffic. Wait, I do that anyway.

I have the bliss on my last truck 2015 Lariat and now have it on my 2018 it is a great little invention. the dot catches your eye. I really like the fact I can extend the coverage to include trailers now. However i still add 2 convex mirrors on both sides. Getting older and the eyes (w/trifocals) just don't gauge distance as well as they used to.
