Puzzeled.
I recently purchased a 2003 Explorer XLT. It came with the same AM/FM/Single CD player my 2001 one had. In the instructions for the 2001 there was way to keep the clock as the primary display.
I cannot find the right button or combination of buttons to make it stay the same on the 2003. I can chage the display by hitting the "clock" button, but everytime I restart the vehicle I have to select clock again. Not even a real issue I know, but just one of those little things that annoys me. Every morning I must glance at the clock a dozen times on the way into work.
If anyone knows the secret on the 2003, or can tell me what the secret was from the 2001 manual, I would appreciate it.
Hi; I'm also looking for help with the same clock problem. I just purched a 2003 Excursion with the AM/FM stereo single CD player. It is the same exact system that is in my husbands 2002 F-250. My radio will not switch to clock mode untill I push the "clock" button, where as my husbands switches over after a few seconds. I have asked the dealer & all they say is that my radio is normal. Help.... does anyone else have answers!!
I have a 2003 Explorer with the same issue. I have tried many button combinations and searches on the Internet without luck. I would love to find a solution, I hate having to press the clock display button every time I start my car. VERY annoying. :-(
I have seen this posted a few times but i haven't seen the fix. i would go to the dealer and have them look for a setting if not tell them you want a radio that has that setting. They should be able to replace it being that it's a 2003.
