Radio/Clock Question

I have an '03 Excursion with the CD/Casette player. I'd like to set the radio so the time is displayed after your change the volume or the station. Most other radios will display the frequency for a few seconds and then the time is displayed.

Right now the only way the time is displayed is after I push the "clock" button. Once I change the voume, the station frequency is displayed and not the time.

I've looked through the owner's manual and can't find anything about it.

Anyone know how to do this?

Pressing the clock button should allow you to either keep the track info/radio station on without reverting back to showing the time or it'll show the radio station/volume and revert back to showing the time.

The clock button is how you get it to do what your asking.

From the Owner's Manual............ "CLK" button, a/k/a Clock Button

The CLK control will allow you to switch between media display mode (radio station, stereo information, etc.) and clock display mode (time).

When in clock mode, the media information will display for 10 seconds, when the radio is turned on, and then revert to clock information.

Any time that the media is changed, (new radio station, etc.), the media information will again display for 10 seconds before reverting back to the clock.

In media
mode, the media information will always be displayed.

Hmmm... it must not be working correctly. That's the first thing I tried.

OK.. I just went through the entire "entertainment" section in my owner's manual and I can't find where it says that.

I figured it out...

The radio was in "auto" mode. Took it out of auto mode and the "clock" button starts working as it should.
