X2, when you get a no nothing at all issue. Honk horn and check if headlights come on. I bet they do. So ok so you have 12v at battery. Time to make sure you have it in park and the NSS is working not broke /loose. Yours should be under the dash and on top of the steering column.

Check your fusible link. When mine went, I didn't have any power in the cab. I didn't think to try the horn, but it is wired independently of the fusible link, and should work if the FL burns out or opens. My truck had no headlights when the FL blew.
another quick check, see if you have juice to the solenoid when you turn the switch - the solenoid is just a big relay and only powers the starter when it gets juice on the activation circuit. You should get juice through the switch to one of the smaller posts on the solenoid when you turn the switch to 'start' - if so, your switch etc. is probably good. If you don't have juice from the solenoid to the starter then, your solenoid is probably bad.
