Check the big yellow wire with the fuseable link off of the alternator.

I'll bet it's all corroded and toasted.

I'm no mechanic for sure stosh but from what I saw it was ok. I'm talking no dash lights or anything when you turn on the switch as if there were no battery at all

good suggestion but I just put the battery in - it's brand new, even went to the extent of replacing the starter relay - no luck

are the clamps clean.the po on the topaz put a new battery in it and it still did this.plus if the clamp is one of those quick repair, where you clamp the wire on,the cable could be corroded.

As far as the power supply part of it, everything's new. The only thing I can figure is that something has to be grounding out somewhere else. The damn thing acts like the battery has been taken completely out of the circuit

Hey,
I had the same problem but it was my solenoid. Had no power,lights,nothing.... The positive wire from the solenoid was just loose enough to kill everything. I tighten it up and she fired right up. Be careful if you tighten them they break very easy.

Will the headlights work? If not, no matter what is new, go out and clean and check all the battery connections, and like the other poster said, the large connections on the solenoid. Take a knife and scrape the battery connectors.

I had the same exact problem with my truck.

The entire fuse block is fed by the large yellow wire that is in that bundle over near the alternator. Don't rule it out just because you did a visual inspection.

Make sure you have 12V to the main fuse block from that wire or you will get nothing. You can pierce the wire with something sharp and check both sides of the fuseable link.

All wires and fuses check out for continuity and connections are tight. The high current power wire's fuse is good. There is still no power to anything even when hot shotted
