Picked up my 2013 F-350 today and while it's in great overall condition, a lot of the silver-y plastic trim pieces seem to be chipping/flaking off revealing a black plastic underneath. The worst offenders are on the doors by the window switches, and one noticeable one in the center console (pictured).
How have people dealt with this? If there is some kind of trim wrap kit i should buy, what are the best brands?

I don't know what to think about that. Do you think someone changed the color of the interior? My 03 doesn't show any signs of interior paint chipping, wear, or fading.
Did you have any luck finding a matching touch up paint? I have the same problem; the lighter color paint around the console control ***** and the window & lock switches on the armrest is chipped or worn off. I'm trying to find a specified paint color to use to touch up these areas but am not finding anything for this lighter color.

unfortunately no…that took a backseat to a plethora of mechanical issues lol. If I ever find something I’ll update this thread
Thanx for your reply. I've been digging around on the internet for most of the afternoon trying to find a Ford specified paint but not finding any codes. There are a lot of companies that display paint charts with light gray paint swatches but it's hard to tell if they're a match for the console paint. I'll keep looking.
I'd check the junkyards with a low minimum part price, just pull what is needed & say you don't know what it came off of, it'll just look good on a "project".
I haven't bothered with the locals lately but that used to keep costs down for me.
As for fixing the originals, the only luck I've had in the past was to peel off the rest of it then sand/paint the part. I'd avoid a wrap on something you'll be grabbing alot.
Thanks for the suggestions - my dash console is not quite that bad yet but it's got a couple of wear spots near the control *****. The truck is 10 years old and stays outside under the Texas sun so I'm sure this paint wear will just continue over time. I've also got a couple of spots on the same color plastic inserts that hold the window and door lock operating buttons. The current wear spots are not really serious but it's irritating so I thought I's try to put a little make up on the blemishes.
OK - I wasn't having any luck trying to find any information about the light color interior trim so I looked up the instrument panel on a Ford parts supplier and checked the part description on the resulting listing : [ see https://parts.sheehyfordofrichmond.c...2504302BB.html ] The part description says the color is "foundry grey".
So, I looked around for anything about a "foundry grey" paint color and found two Ford paint charts that listed the color under Interior paint and also under "Accent/Accessory". Here's a link to the 2013 Ford Paint Codes and Color Charts : https://hdpaintcode.com/2013-ford-an...n-paint-codes/ The Interior paint (see the 3rd color chart) is code # 6Q4C, "Foundry Gray Metallic" and on the 6th chart - Accents/ Accessory - the is code # APPC, "Foundry Gray Metallic"
There's no explanation why this paint is listed under two different codes nor, is there anything that tells you what the difference is between "Interior Paint" and "Accents/Accessory" paint.
But any way - there's a little bit of information.
