Nope!
I'm still draining the tank to see if it's at the bottom. It's hard to tell right now.
Got the tank emptied out. And the last gallon was nothing but nasty.
No filter in the tank or pick-up at all.
apparently a previous owner did a filter delete mod lol.
I bought a new pump because I don't know how many miles that pump has been sucking in debris.
And I also bought a inline filter for the pump.
Let's make some magic happen.

After I put it all together, I cycled the key a few times to get the air thru, she started up no hesitation.
The hpop was never an issue.
Apparently all that rocking back and forth got some debris up in my pump the same time the snow like took out my dipstick. What luck.
Who would a thought one of the previous owners would of deleted every filter in the tank and not put a inline filter in before the pump. Crazy stuff. I know I ran it at least 10k miles since I've owned it. Glad it didn't happen when I was out of state...
Thanks again for everything and everyone for their help and suggestions. It is very much appreciated.
I'd be a little uneasy not having any pre-pump filtering to keep any big particles from finding their way into the fuel bowl and settling at the bottom when you change the filter. Some who have done the tank mods have added an aftermarket filter with a clear bowl that can be easy watched and cleaned (compared to dropping the tank)

I'm pretty sure he gathered up some parts and when he did this he installed the inline filter ssj Style

Yeah there is a pre-pump filter now. I found alot of debris in the tank including small rocks? Was pretty scary. That last gallon I took out I used a mason jar and the diesel I took out looked like mud.
