Hpop priming? Troubleshooting help!
Or fuel pumps whine when they are starved?
I'm gonna go with fuel pump.
Tomorrow I will disconnect the pump and test the flow.
If the pump is good. I'll trace back the line to the tank.
Tank reads at 1/4 tank.
I try not to go below that amount. And the gauge hasn't failed me yet but I could hit on the tank and see if it sounds empty.
I really dont think the tank is empty. I usually get decent milage and as soon as I go below a quarter tank I fill it up. If it was running the first stop would be the station.

If the pump doesn't come on normally I have a thought. You said your troubles started when you shoved thru that snow plow berm at the end of your driveway and it went into limp mode. What if you actually set off the fuel cut off bump switch on the passenger kick panel, and the limp mode you observed was from no fuel pressure, these things will continue to run with no pressure, barely, ask me how I know....

I will give it a look in the morning. I appreciate the feedback.
1/8 tank the struggling starts.
Put the pump suck from bucket and after that the power circuit needs to be resolved.

I then removed the fuel pump to flow test it.
While taking off the lines I had fuel leak out of the line going to the motor.
But not a single drop coming from the line from the tank.

I flow tested the pump.
It spit and sputtered a little bit. Some cloudy stuff came out , but it ended up working fine.
I also ended up using the air compressor and pressurized the fuel inlet side of the fuel tank and it took a second but it burped and got fuel out of it too.
Only other thing to note.
When I took the pump off the inlet line from the tank the plastic white snap washer or whatever it was, was broken.
Would this let air in and cause a no start too?
And is this available locally? Or should I do the inline filter mod and get rid of it?
Or regular line.
If you don't have time right now you can get fuel hose rated for diesel, can't remember the correct number right now, and a hose barb coupler. Cut off a short section including the quick disconnect at the pump and splice short section in it's place. do the h an h mods as soon as you can.
Edit: Had a minute to look it up, 30R7 is diesel rated and good up to 50 psi so works fine from tank to pump. 30R9 is diesel rated but up to 180 psi.
Edit: this and a couple of fuel injection style hose clamps

appreciate it

Edit: My memory isn't what it used to be but IIRC there is a quick disconnect on the tank end of the line as well. Personally I would want to eliminate that connection as well and would put new fuel line on it.
