Thats a cherry truck! Buff, wax and be done on the paint. Plan on a PS swap, it makes it more manageable to drive with radial tires but you will have to change the steering column.

Thanks! I plan on just lightly buffing it and then coating it ... The original paint is too good to need a repaint. I am hoping to find a parts truck this summer (73-79) that I can rob the brakes and p.s. off!
I had been searching for some good used window regulators to no avail...I even had a couple of decent ones I pulled out of some parts doors I bought but one of the springs inside the main crank mechanism was damaged... I checked Dennis Carpenter's web site again and luckily they have more regulators in stock! They had been out of stock for a while so I am glad they finally made another run. Now I have to get to work on my doors and resealing my cab. I do need the plastic washer that goes between the door panel and the window crank handle if anyone has some ? I also need some door panel clips as well (probably about 5 would do it)?
Nice truck and you got a good deal on it. Not especially rare, but has a lot of nice options on it and lots of originality (like the hub caps and the oil bath air cleaner). The guys must have overlooked your comment about getting your warranty plate decoded. Usually they are right on it. I'll give you a pretty good run down. F10 = F100 2 wheel drive. Y = 352 FE V8 2 bbl carb engine. R = assembled at San Jose, California plant. 776059 says it's a 1966 model year truck that was assembled in November, 1965. Wheelbase = 129 inches. Color W = Marlin Blue. Model F100 = 5000 lb. GVW, half ton truck. Body B81 = Custom Cab with medium blue crush vinyl and light blue cody pattern woven plastic interior trim. Transmission C = Ford light duty 3 speed synchromesh column shift. Axle 17 = 3.25 ratio Ford 9 inch non-limited slip differential. Maximum Gross Vehicle Weight = 5000 lbs. NET horsepower = 172 @ 4000 rpms. (208 horsepower rating as seen on the air cleaner decal is a GROSS horsepower rating.) DSO 71 = ordered by Los Angeles district sales office. It was not special ordered - if it were there would be 6 numbers in the DSO position. Hope this helps. Enjoy your truck!

Hello, thanks for decoding that! One thing I had pointed out to me was the lack of side trim that is normally present on the custom cabs... Have you seen this very often?
I tried to look and see if those where American made but i cant tell... Anyone know ?
I just talked to a local guy who parts the slicks out and he said he has another truck he is picking up on saturday. Maybe that truck will have good regulators ?
Not sure if they are american or not. You may run into issues finding repro parts that are. I did buy my rear view mirrors from them and they are very responsive to messages and would likely answer you quickly. I had an issue with one of the mirrors and they resolved it very quickly.
Congrats on the new ride. Looks like a great template to start with.

Custom Cab didn't have a correlation to the side trim. The side trim was required with the Deluxe Two Tone paint jobs (which required Styleside bed) and was otherwise optional on any Styleside bed (but not wrongbed in 1965/66).

Interesting. I would have though custom cabs automatically came with the trim but that makes sense it was extra... I do like the non trim look!
Well I got the doors all rebuilt...quite a bit of work but it was worth it! I have also decided to sell my truck...I did post in the Market place section...If someone is interested , I am willing to help arrange shipping ! Truck is located in Portland OR.
