replace hazard flasher with wigwagger?

hey guys
i have an 05 F350 i use as a plow truck

would i be able to pull out the hazard flasher relay and wire in a wigwagger module there?

i guess the real question is "is there a dedicated positive lead for the left as well as the right side of the truck hooked up to that relay" ?

(id prefer not to run 80 yards of extra wiring to get this done)

thanks

Short answer - No. You will need external circuitry.

For true wig wag you need to get right to the bulbs, the turn signal flasher module is just a small timer circuit to interrupt the power to the turn signal bulb selected.

I always used soundoff modules but everyone (fed sig, whelen, star, code 3, etc) makes modules. Pretty easy to do once you find the positive wire on each bulb, You just tie into them and put them on the outputs of the module, then switch power to the module to turn the wig wags on and off (always best to also add diodes to the wire before the tie in so you can't back feed power while using the wig wags).

Here in NY its illegal to have a flashing primary light and wig wags on at the same time, regardless of colors. Hideaways also can't use wig wag patterns, the 2 corners need to be flashed at the same time. Its believed that wig wags can fool people into thinking its legitimate police and pull over. Some people might use this for nefarious reasons

i was hopping not to have to tie into each individual bulb...if i do that i might as well retrofit some additional lights into the truck and work with those
i figured since all lights are activated by one switch on the dash, there has GOT to be a way to replace that switch (or put in a 3 position switch) and run wig waggers using the stock wiring

or perhaps there is a left side /right side fuse somewhere i can tap into

The left and right turn signals are in the column loom. When you move the stalk it creates a contact that flashes the proper bulb. The separate wires are there in the cab, just finding them can be a bit time consuming. Also if you tie in there at the column you'll likely get front and rears wig wagging and you definitely need the diodes in the circuit to eliminate back feed. Always did mine under the hood and in the trunk with diodes.
