Yep, if the delivery's delayed, an incentive could expire. So if you get $2k off and it is delayed, you might lose out.

Via folks on FTE, I was able to get a Private Cash Offer of $2K (that's taken off whatever the best price you've negotiated). I also dealt Only with THE manager of New Car Sales at a high volume dealership I've bought from before. Ours was a custom order as well. There was a shipping delay and the truck was not going to arrive until after a 0 down 0% for 72 month offer would expire. The dealership did us a big favor and sold us the truck while it was on the train (they can do it, but they don't do it often), My Sales Manager and I had a 2 minute negotiation, most of which was how many free oil changes he was willing to give us. We got our truck a couple weeks later... It did start the warranty early, but I'd rather have all that extra money. Not counting the $3500+ value of the free financing, we got the truck for about $8K under MSRP. This was when there were Zero F150s on the lot due to plant closures...
Last truck I also ordered (F350 in sig) was a couple hundred under invoice plus there was $2K in additional incentives. While there are quite a number of savvy buyers here on FTE, there are just tons and tons of "sheep" that will buy through Costco (maybe $500 to a Grand over invoice) or start their negotiations at the MSRP and if they get ANYTHING off, are ecstatic...
Hang around these folks and you'll do very, very well...
FTE is a great site. I am working with the dealer’s general manager. It’s a small dealership. I hate those high volume dealers. You got that deal on an F150. Correct? They don’t seem to deal as much on the Super Duty.

Sorry, I didn't see you had replied. Yes, that was on the new 150. I will tell you the Fleet Manager that handled delivery said Super Duties were even harder to get and (this was Sept.) he had a customer and had checked inventory within 100 miles and there was nothing. Maybe there are more now and you can get a good deal - in these times, if you can get below invoice on a SD, you are doing better than 90% of the buying public. Ya' gonna get the big gasser??? That motor has me licking my chops...

With the delivery delays going on right now.. maybe the dealership will eat the loss. Maybe not. I don't know. That's why I don't order mine, I buy it off the lot and get it over with.

the delays are the reason why nothing is on the lots. Ha ha. Plus, every super duty on the lots around me always come with roof lights and either fully loaded or spec’d to be worker’s trucks. I am wanting something in between
