Purchasing new f150 xlt, confused about xplan not sure if im getting the right info. .4% off invoice ?. or just invoice price ? Dealer says invoice. is he correct ?

 

Ask the dealer to show you the invoice...the X-Plan Price is listed on it. It is actually slightly above invoice price. Through proprer negotiation...you can probably get a price under invoice from most dealers.

 

You need to remember that one benefit of X-Plan is a fixed price (I'm thinking $100 now) for doc fees and a lot of dealerships inflate their doc fees in the neighborhood of $400 because it's easy money. So, if you could buy at "invoice" cost with a reasonable charge for doc fees, you might just beat X-Plan.

 

If you have the X Plan, the dealer needs to show you the invoice. GGG is correct in that the dealer fees become fixed when you use the plan.
