Nothing to look at in stock around here. but I saw a picture of a '21 Platinum with a console shift I think . is this right ? do all models have this now or is it just a platinum feature ?
I was going to order a King Ranch but if it doesn't have the console shift I might change .

Are you talking about an F-150? None of the super duties have a console shifter.
As previously mentioned, Super Duty does not come with a console shifter from the factory, but there are a few people who have successfully done the swap.
I came from an F150 and really loved the placement of the shifter as I did a lot of towing through rolling hills and preferred to manually select the gear I was in. That's a lot more cumbersome with a column shifter, but a bit nit picky too. I still might try and do the swap myself though.

Can't you just put the trans in M and use the +/- on the stalk to control what gear you're in?

With the column shifter, you have to reach up to it every time, or hold your arm up there. With the F150 style console shifter, your hand is resting on the armrest/shifter already...all it takes is a flick of the thumb.
I just got BGG's harness for the console shifter swap. I'm about to take the plunge into my swap...
The picture said f250 but it was probably an f150.
I did find a kit to do it though, I think it uses the F150 shifter. 3 hours and $1200 and I could have it. I might do it .
I switched from no console/ steering wheel shift to a console/ console shift in my 07 f150. Wasn’t terribly hard…. I know the f250 is different but it can be done…. Hardest part is sourcing parts at a reasonable price.
I must say I miss the hand rest in my 20 f250 having come from a 18 f150 this last trade. I do however love the fact that I now have a place to put my phone sans console shift.

I once had a 2010 F150 FX4 with console shifter and really liked it. But trading trucks every 2-3 years I just don't see spending $1200 to do it to a Super Duty. But if I hung onto trucks for a long time it would be a consideration.
