6-Speed W/ 08 Center Console Installed

Just finished the install last night. I absolutely love this console, tons of storage and very easy to install. And for 80 smacks it was a steal off flebay!

The only time I ever wish I had a auto is in stop and go traffic. Other than that I love rowing through the gears.

Nice looking console. Is there more room in the 08 console than the earlier ones?
I also enjoy being part of the rowing club. Now if I can just shift the gears in my wife like I can in the truck I would be one happy man.

Did you buy new seat covers to cover the arm rest hole? Is the console tall enough and close enough to the seat to use as an arm rest? Did you have to set the console a little further back than was designed, or does it mount up using the stock bolts?

I'll be giving you a call next time I head South. I want to sit in your truck and see how the console feels. I just don't know if I can give up my clip though.

Chris, my truck had the 40/20/40 front seats. The console sits as it should, I didn't have to mod it any. Deffinately give me a call when you head this way. The console does sit maybe 1-1.5 inch lower than the factory did, but its not that noticeable.
