isnt it illegal in some states to drive with hitch ball installed when not pulling trailer?
If the hitch or ball block the rear plate it is illegal in all states. I think in Canada it is illegal all the time, but I am not sure if that is different per province or not.
Your truck will now show up as having been in an accident when you decide to sell. This will cause an immediate decrease in value. Do not settle insurance claim with out demanding compensation for that lost value.
.
Here in Ma. diminished value is not compensated by insurance.
I drove alongside a lady the other day....steering with her knee...eating breakfast cereal and milk from a bowl..... cell phones are not the total issue... idiots are...
Great shots. She is in heavy traffic following closely behind a truck. She can't see what's going on up ahead and she thinks its a good time to read. Did she also have her little dog in her lap?
Hope you are made whole, both truck and loss of work, without any hassle.
I agree. I have never been made whole after an accident with me 0% @ fault. I have never been compensated for non medical from PIP either. Where do you rent a p/u ready to pull with both insured (trailer), and if you plow you won't get that either. Your truck will be out of commision for 1-4 weeks. If you pay for it yourself and advance the fix process knowing you'll be compensated later, you'll lose. The auto body guy needs permission after the ins. appraisal to fix unseen stuff, to use new door instead of skinning, etc, etc.. Unless you can prove negligence difficult at best, you will get a lot of pain and aggravation and I don't think it will ever be the same.

Those pics are all the proof you need... awesome. Waht camera is that...
All body shops are way behind in repairs. People being out of work because of Covid restrictions, means more time on the road, leading to more accidents. Replacement parts are running far behind the usual pace when ordered.
My son is GM at a top tier auto body/collision center. He spends most of his time with two types of people. #1, Trying to get the insurance companies to repair the vehicle right, and then the customer that is upset their car or truck is 1 to 2 months in the repair process, and their rental car was cut off after one week.
The next thing is waiting on the parts that used to be there the next day taking weeks to show up.

At least she was paying attention to the road...........................
