Got new to me 2011 FX4.locks will not stay locked.hadn't noticed on test drive.can hear light clicking that sounds like it's coming from inside door on every little bump.truck will lock when parked, next morning unlocked.thanks for any replies.
I was looking for someone who possibly has had similar issue.not driving vehicle so not in hurry.heavy equip.mechanic for several decades.found wiring schematics at helm for close to a Franklin. Normally same issues turn up on sister vehicles. Thanks for replies.
Looks like this site isn't what it used to be.maybe because of people who aren't interested in being helpful to others.I'll post what I end up doing to solve lock problem.

More likely that nobody has encountered this problem before.
That being said - Is it all locks or just driver's side? Do you set the locks with switch? Have you tried to lock by physically pushing the lock down and see if that changes anything? Have you checked door jamb wiring for pinched wires?
Could be that the "clicking" is the solenoids loose on their mounts and are not fully retracting the lock linkage. Has it been in a side impact accident, deforming door or linkage?
for what it's worth - I have gone to start truck at home or come to truck from store and found my locks "open", always thought that I did not lock truck. So now I make sure to listen for click/detent .

You might want to check the drivers door harness to cab wiring for broken or cracked wiring..My brothers 2011 had a few broken wires and a lot of cracked wire casings. The wiring was cracked where it flexes as door is opened or closed. Only had 50000 miles on it as well. We ended up buying a new harness as repairing all the wires would have made the bending problems worse.
