Hello All, I have been struggling with the drivers rear power door lock about 2 months ago it stopped locking and unlocking. I figured it was the actuator and it was cheap and easy enough to replace so I ordered a new one and installed it and no joy. I put my test light on the pigtail and it gets power when I hit the lock/unlock button on the remote or the door switch but the actuator does nothing. Thinking I have a bad actuator I swap it with the drivers front door and the drivers front door works and the back door still does not do anything even with the actuator in my hand but plugged into the harness. Does anybody have any recommendations? My thoughts are if the test light is lighting up when I hit lock/unlock than the actuator is getting power and it should work.
It might have enought current to light the test light but under actual AMP load the wire probably fails. Hook up a headlight bulb/ something with a decent draw and see if the bulb illuminates. If not you have a bad wire, probably pinched where the door opens and closes.

Thanks Stoney It makes sense didn't think of the amp draw. I'll give it a shot and see what I can track down.
