'90 door locks

I have a 1990 F150 XLT. When I try to use the electric locks to lock the doors from the drivers side, the passenger lock always locks, but it takes several tries to get the drivers door lock to lock. Anyone know about this stuff?

Could be nothing more than a bad/dirty contact in your switch.

Do you get the same response when locking from the passenger side? If you do I would suspect the lock motor on the drivers side.

I have an '89 F350 and it does the same thing, its now at the point wher the driver side wont lock at all. i believe it gets stuck down near the bottom, havent had time to take it apart though. sorry couldnt be more help. god i love fords
