2004 Excursion gellup

With this extended cold snap here in MN, the temps have been getting down to -17F. The other night the temp was -19F and I had been driving for 20 minutes when the truck started shifting odd and runing rough. I suspected possible gelling and I stopped for fuel and put 30 gallons of winter blend diesel plus added antigel and limped it to my shop and turned the heat on. Pulled both filters and saw no gelling, but when the fuel spilled on the cold floor, it turned to a gelatinous mass. I turned the salamander heater on directing the heat under the truck. After 4 hours, I fired it up and it ran fine. Checked fuel pressure and it was steady at 57 PSI. Ran up to the truck stop and added 10 gallons of #1. Yesterday it ran very rough at startup with IDS showing #2 and #8 injectors dropping out until it ran for a few minutes, lots of smoke with black puffs as cylinders were dropping. After 5 minutes, it ran fine. Same thing today. I had replaced all 8 injectors Feb 2020 and had no issues until this gellup. Wanted to get opinions b4 I swap in new injectors.

Ya the problem is with your fuel , I believe its B20 B30 , that's not good for cold weather , now its been awhile since I've ben up there so things could have changed , but your going to need an anti gel in addition to your fuel , I would carry some emergency 911 bottles in the cab of the truck and first signs of fuel con jelling stop and put it in

Another rough start this morning at -20F with a P0148-Fuel Delivery Error. Going to top off with #1 diesel and put the vehicle into my heated shop overnight to make sure any residual gelling disolves. The RPMs vary wildly for a couple minutes then it smooths out nicely. What are the possible causes for this code? Is this a fuel control loop problem where too much fuel is being delivered by faulty injectors causing RPM's to increase beyond what the injector duty cycle mapping predicts and thus the control loop can't drive the RPM error to within limits and declares a fault.

do you have a way of monitoring your FICM voltage ,TORQ PRO well for me and a blue ELM 327 for the blue tooth connection , how old are your batteries and do you still have the stock alternator, I did an upgrade to a 230 amp unit and wire upgrade

Batteries are 1month old 850A Interstate, original alternator. Vehicles got 210K miles. I've got IDS to monitor and perform diagnostic tests. FICM voltage at 47.5V when cranking.
