Having a tuner complicates things. You don't know what is happening without data logging.. Tunes have been the cause of all sorts of issues. I would dump the tune and see what happens. It may be interference with the computer in the truck.

I would return to stock and still may if I have to. I can’t blame the tune for the over boost because the tune was on for a couple years before it started. But, I get I could blame it for preventing the codes that would tell me what is happening. Putting that POS back on at my age (80) is a lot if work. I keep trying to find an easier solution or a tech that can figure it out without codes.

That's crazy you can't get to the bottom of this Stanley... wishing you luck with solving this...
My 6.7 power stroke shut off when I’m putting a load, but will crank right back up. I’ve changed the high-pressure fuel pump, low pressure, fuel pump and fuel regulator. Truck drive fine unless I’m pulling a load going uphill. As long as I stay under 20 PSI going up here with the load, the truck will keep running if I go over 20 PSI for a while the truck was shut off truck been deleted and tune. I have fass ride low pressure fuel pump installed also. H&S tuner. Only code I have is p007D charge air cooler sensor circuit high

The only thing I could think of is the AIT sensor is causing that code...
I have had this truck to 2 separate Ford Dealers, both of which cannot find a code stored on the computer. I'm not sure if the code is somehow clearing itself, but 2 separate "Master" diesel techs seem to be baffled at what I am experiencing. These are older gentlemen who look like they have been doing it for a while.
I read on another forum that replacing the driver's side fuel rail might solve my problem, but no reason was given as to why. I looked this part up , and it looks like an OEM replacement is less than $200. https://www.getoemparts.com/oem-part...EaApiPEALw_wcB
Do you think replacing the fuel rail is worth a shot? What would go wrong on a fuel rail, and why the driver's side specifically?
I did have the fuel filter changed right before this problem started happening. Do you think swapping a fuel filter again would be a good course of action?

Check to make sure the fuel filter and fuel filter lid (on the lower fuel filter, by the fuel tank) are properly seated. Supposedly air can be introduced when they are not seated. That's about all I remember about that situation.

There's no doubt if the lid and seal on the lower filter on the newer trucks, just like cap on the lower filter/pump unit of the 11 to 16s is not tightened all the way to those stops so they meet, air will be introduced into the system.
Another thing to consider are the factory quick connect fittings, make sure there isn't an O-ring that folded over and is not making a proper seal with the male fitting of the fuel line. I remember reading that somewhere also...
The fact that it was acting fine until the filters were changed says that it has to do with that. Factory Motorcraft filters?
