Hi, I was installing a new air intake and I noticed this harness after I finished installing the air intake. I looked on top of the engine and the valley to see where it goes, didn’t have any luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Can't tell for sure, but probably goes to the exhaust back pressure valve, that the previous owner unplugged to keep the valve from closing unexpectedly. It is not really needed.

You are correct. This is for the EBPV on the turbo pedestal.

Diesel O rings has a resistor you can wire in to stop it from throwing a soft code. Otherwise don't worry about it since it won't throw a CEL.

Also, what's going on with the orange intake boot on the turbo compressor?

Orange boot needs to go as they are notorious for splitting.

Riffraff makes a boss one and plenum boots. Get that $1 oring for plenum to turbocharger while in there and may as well reseal that CCV 'doghouse' while access is easy.

I agree, this is the kit you need.

In addition to resealing the CCV doghouse, consider cleaning it with solvent as well. If doing this, plan on buying a set of hose clamps as the OE ones are not re-usable. Might want to also consider a new hose elbow (connects the doghouse to intake) as it is only a few $ more.

I just did this on mine and it reduced the amount of smoke that comes out from under the dipstick.
