93 f150 build thread?

Suppose I'll start off with if not aloud please delete,
hello all, I had a 93, the 93 in question I'll be buying back from the person I sold it to here next week or 2. It needs some work, but I'd like to replace alot of things.
it needs the master or slave that's in the trans replaced, figured while out put a new clutch in.
I'd like do redo pretty much everything on the clutch from the peddle to trans. Change all the fluids in trans/transfer/axles. New headlights, rear or front tank died, like to replace everything on the fuel side for both & lines.
should I even approach the ford dealership for these and more or do you guys have any input on quality parts?

I use LUK clutches always. For the clutch master and slave, you do not have to get them from the dealer, but I would definitely use Motorcraft brand on that.

You need to tell us what motor and trans you have.

I'm not sure which trans it has specifically, I want to say M5od, its 4 with OD, 1st isn't low. And a woreout 302.
edit- I have been daily driving diesels but I'm short on cash and want to park them and fix this then save $ and fix those. I want this to be my fishing rig / hunting rig this summer/ next winter. So I'd like to fix pretty much everything I can for reliability. I'm not made of $, but gasers are so much cheaper.

I only go to dealer when not found any place else. They seem to normally charge a premium. If you have the time, you can find most of what you need online. I would echo that Motorcraft brand parts are pretty good. Sounds like it has a few miles on it.

I am starting to do a lot of work on my 93 F150 5.0 4x4 ext cab.

I rebuilt the m5OD over the summer, and that was a huge improvement. I had tried it several years ago, to fix the insistent whining and really screwed up putting it back together. I put the 5th Reverse ring on backwards and could not shift into 5th, Reverse worked fine, so I just left that way. Road Trips were much longer. Got it 100% right this time. No whining, super tight shifts and best of all, 5th works again.

The big update is swapping in a 351W to replace the tired 302. I keep reading about things to be aware of so it is going slower than expected because I am now being told the SD motor will not like the cam I put in it. Today starts the hunt for a MAF System at UpullUpay.

Other plans I have are Newer Door panels, Dash Pad and Bucket Front Seats (all bought and just about ready to go in) Potentially new carpet.

Sound deadening in the cab, My wife bought me the 36sqft box of stinger X material. Getting new weather stripping ordered today or tomorrow.

Finish the 8 Lug Swap, I put a 10.25 under her several years ago, and am now collecting parts for the Front, Not going to be cheap.

I 100% agree with buying the best slave cylinder. Been down the road of AZ parts there and never again on parts that take major effort to replace.
