Hey guys, I'm a regular on the '48 to '60 site, but I have an '89 model F150 with a 300 6cyl and a M5OD trans. My question is does it have a 10" clutch or an 11"? And if it does have the 10" can I put a 11" in when I change it? I dont have it apart yet, so I havent measured it.
The truck had been run without trans fluid when I got it, and the trans was STUCK. I managed to get it unstuck by jammin on the brakes and not using the clutch. Now I cant downshift from 3rd to 2nd without being completly stoped. This may have a previous problem before the trans was run low on oil? Is it possible that something is just out of time in the trans? Or is this a common problem when the syhchros go out?
