2016 F250 112K mi. Full delete about a year ago. While still under warranty the dealer completely gutted the interior to replace the harness for the issue with the connector by the park brake. All was well for a year or so and it happened again so I cut the harness away from the park brake bracket and always hold my foot over the pedal when releasing the brake so it doesn't snap off hard. All has been good until a 700 mile drive last week and while cruising all the warning lights came on at once again. I kept driving and after a few miles the engine just quit. Pulled over and shut off and it would restart and just run for 1 second and die. I wiggled the connector by the pedal and after a couple tries it restarted and worked fine. on the return trip the lights came on again so I pulled over immediately and restarted and all was fine. Now several times in the last week it would start and die immediately and after doing that a couple times it would start and run fine. Should I suspect that same connector and if so should I look for a specific pin problem? I worry that very soon I will be calling AAA for a tow. I know others have had this connector problem. What to fix??
Bump hoping for a reply, yesterday I pulled the seat so I could get to the connector and pulled it apart , all looked ok so I just applied a little dielctric grease and reinstalled. Same issue. Starts right up about 50% of the time, other times it takes 3-5 tries. each time it will fire but will run only a second then a little less each time as if it is getting less fuel each time. Then all of a sudden it will start and run normal. I am thinking I need to get a computer hooked up while it does it but I have done the delete so a dealer may not be the best option. Open to any and all suggestions.
