Twilight Zone Panel Truck

Was just letting some old clips play here at work when this one popped up. I guess this proves some things for anyone who plans on robbing a gold shipment and sleeping 100 years until the heat is off. Apparently, the batteries on F-1 panel trucks could easily last 100 years, and the brakes don't last that long. Lol. And we all know that's not the correct pedals. The distinct sound of that door slamming is well known to all of us with these trucks. Enjoy.

Hey Doc, long time no see (read), it's the fat, old, cranky guy from British Columbia here.
Funny that you should mention the Twilight Zone, in prehistoric days my original satellite dish was the big ones that swung around, and on different satellites I could get network feeds.
One day I'm flipping channels and there was this show that I didn't know what it was about some abusive guy digging a hole on some ranch in the outback with a young wife. So he goes down the hole on a windless and she cranks it up with the dirt on it. Then there is two tugs on the rope and when it comes up there is a note on it that says "tastes like chicken, send more" Scared the crap out of me, it was a Twilight Zone show.

I think they should have hired a better prop manager. Everyone knows those are F-1 pedals, dah! They used, even for that time, old Ford trucks in quite few episodes. Probably had a bunch in the back lot for hauling stuff. Always fun to watch those old TV shows and see all of the classic iron. Hate to see them smash them up though.

Ford sponsored the original Twilight Zone. It’s very common that if a vehicle company sponsors a TV snow they loan vehicles, even when an old vehicle is needed for the plot.

Very cool clip.

How many of you guys watched that, and wondered if that panel truck is still at the bottom of the cliff - and still has a few good parts on it?

For not having the special effects of todays movies, some of those episodes still scared the heck out of me. Brought back memories. Hopefully not nightmares.
