has anyone ever had this problem?
when I put gas in my 74 F250 , I have to go super slow, or else gas backs up the pipe and spills out
anyone have any input?
Sounds like you have some blockage in the filler vent. It is the smaller hose the runs along the large filler hose. Check to see if it is kinked or something.
You can remove it and see if it is clogged, also check the nipples that it hookes to for blockage.

sounds reasonable
both tanks do it, looked at them briefly, and it looked like the vent hose on the reserve had split open in one part
it's not aproblem I can't live with, just wondered if I was missing something
thanks for the help

That does it. And if you are crazy enough to remove the hose (like say, when installing a body lift) you will have this problem until you put the small hose back in. Trust me... I dealt with it until someone told me and I replaced it.
