I'm looking to buy a small electric winch to use for my golf cart and/or ATV when we go camping to mount in the bed of my truck. Anyone have suggestions? I see a few options on tractor supply.
Also, I'm looking for the upfitter switch wires to tie in to. Anyone know their location? I see the 2020s were under the fuse box. I have a 2021 F350 CCLB 7.3
A winch is going to draw way too many amps for an upfitter switch to run, unless you are only using the upfitter switch to trigger a separate relay for the winch.

Yes. Planned on running a separate solenoid. Just want the upfitter switch to power up the winch and then will use the winch controls from there
Harbor Freight has some small winches that may work. I have used a few of there's one 12,000 pounder and the other a 2,500 pounder. The 2,550 I have on my Kubota side by side. It has a remote control iso you can stand off to the side or be in the cart to steer it while it is being pulled. I use mine to get my Zero Turn unstuck most of the time. Works great by myself.
Years ago, I used a small Warn 2500 winch in the bed. I mounted it to a scrap piece of 4x4x5/16" angle aluminum that I mounted to the bed floor of my old Ram using J-bolts to the stock tie-downs. Worked great for quads and Jet Skis.
I'd think you'd want to be closer by to watch how it's going, instead of sitting in the driver's seat.
